VinoTopics Then....
THE PAST
As some of you know, my original goal for VinoTopics was to be a Washington State resource guide for all of the wineries. I had set on on a journey to visit, photograph, video, and interview winemakers, wineries, and vineyards all over Washington State. This was a huge adventure considering there were 690+ wineries in existence. I made it through more than 10% of our wonderful wineries throughout the state and enjoyed many an afternoon meeting new friends and tasting some great wines. I kept a log of these and journal on my original VinoTopics website for all to see.
I then had an opportunity to take my passion one step further and actually become a part of local winery. I had known the couple for more than 15 years when they approached me to become part of the team. At this time, I put VinoTopics on hold as with my new adventure I surely would not have time for my weekend excursions. As time went along I still had a desire to pursue and share wine related topics, I just had to figure out how to make this transition.
Well that transition was made easy thanks to the economy and technology. I was using a hosting company who decided to pull the plug recently and had assisted with a backup of my entire blog and work to move onto another provider. As neat as this would be, I felt it was a good time to start fresh and relaunch VinoTopics in a new realm.

VinoTopics Now....
THE FUTURE
Armed with even more knowledge and experience I felt I wanted to share this with others. I would like to not only share my passion for wine and everything it entails but provide useful items from meals, pairings, recipes, events, and my own experience. It will take a little time to build up a decent amount of subject matter but I can assure you that I will remain committed to regular posts.
I hope to make this an interactive site where people can communicate, share, and seek input on anything wine related. If you have suggestions on topics or stories you would like to share, by all means send me a message. I will support all wine regions but will remain focused and dedicated to promotion of the Northwest region.
As I like to say "Wine is but a journey of time that creates lifelong friends."
I hope you enjoy the journey!
